World Health Worker Week supports, appreciates and raises awareness of the important role of health workers everywhere. In 2021, the week calls for the policymakers to listen to health workers and act for them.

Health workers know best what they need to be safer, healthier, and more prepared to end the COVID-19 pandemic, prevent future disease outbreaks, and ensure access to essential services for their communities. Focus should be on them as we continue to live with the pandemic a year later.
