Gabriel Scientific marks its 10th anniversary, continuing its mission to set new standards for soft surfaces in healthcare. The company’s primary focus is improving safety for both patients and caregivers.

Sven Jürisoo, founder, states: “These past 10 years have shown us that success in introducing disruptive technologies to a traditional sector requires continuous education, needs-driven R&D, and strategic partnerships.”

The company’s journey began when Sven Jürisoo partnered with Irish innovator David Woolfson, the creator of PneumaPure® filter technology. In 2014, Seen already had extensive experience in the bedding industry. However, encounter with this groundbreaking innovation, which is transforming the concept of oft surfaces, marked the start of Gabriel Scientific.

Today, the company’s innovative soft surface product range has expanded from medical applications to consumer and hospitality sectors. In addition to enhancing patient and caregiver safety, Gabriel Scientific’s technology supports sustainability goals by extending product lifespans and reducing water and energy consumption. In recent years, the team has further focused on circularity to minimize environmental impact.

R&D director Lyane Lind emphasizes: “Our products already contribute to reducing environmental impact through longer usage times, lower stock requirements, and eliminating the need for cleaning services and transport. However, we believe there is more we can do. That’s why we are currently working on solutions that enhance circularity and the use of non-virgin and biodegradable materials.”
